Customer Reviews of Oak Locking Glider With Harrison Basil Fabric
Worth the money This is our third glider and our fourth child. The first two gliders were inexpensive and although they served the purpose briefly, buying one with better quality is certainly worth the money! <
>It's a must for nursing moms! The padded arm rests are perfect comfort and height and if you are a small to medium framed woman it fits you to a "T"! <
>I'm going back to get the matching ottoman!
Unbelievably comfort. My new favorite napping chair. Err have yet to try with Baby! : )
Oh I'm sooo lucky. I fell in love with this chair and ottoman at BabiesRUs even though I had registered for a cheaper one. Well you get what you pay for. After sitting in the Shermag chairs, there was no way I could justify spending 200 bucks on a cheaper made and cheaper feeling rocker. What can I say? The cheaper ones look just like it but the similarities stop there once you sit in it. Unbelievably comfortable. My brother bought this for me off my registery while visiting two weeks ago. The baby isn't here yet but I'd thought I'd share my pre-birth observations anyway. First off, comfort can't be explained until you sit in it and feel the easy smoothness and heaviness of the rocker until you sit in it. Secondly, nice for baby messes that I hear about, the entire cushion on this one all snap off to throw into the wash, unlike the cheaper versions and surprisingly the more expensive ones that Shermag makes don't have that cushion removal either. Thirdly, don't know if it will make a difference but in my 8th month, I find it HARDER and Harder to get out of bed or out of any chair. I feel like I need one of those senior citizen chairs where the Butt comes UP and pushed you OUT of the chair. I have such a comfy time in this one. Nice extra feature is that it automatically "locks" in place when you get out. So it's easy to sit back into it. 4thly, even though the baby isn't here, this is my new reading chair and sometimes, my fall asleep into chair. Now if only airline travel was this comfy. I have the matching ottoman. Unfort I didn't like that the cushion on the ottoman doesn't come off but there is a THICK PLASTIC cover with velcro snaps that you can leave on or off. I generally walk barefoot in the house but I think I will keep the plastic on. BTW my brother (a bachelor) fell in love with this chair so much that he bought on for HIMSELF. One issue that might be a problem? I sat in the $499 chairs that Shermag also makes and noticed the ONLY difference to be the WIDTH of the seat. Definitely this is made for a smaller person. I am 8th months pregant, 5'2 and about 127 pounds. I perhaps have only and extra 2 inches on each side of my hips. My husband is 5'10 and 180 and although he fits comfortably, there is no true extra wiggle room in the seat area.
