Customer Reviews of Nosepickers From Outer Space (L.A.F. Books)
Nose Pickers From Outerspace Nose pickers from outer space is a very funny book by Gordan Korman. It's about this boy who is an exchange student from "Pan" in Chicago, named Stan Mflxnys. He was a weird little kid, when Devin Hunter went to pick him up from the airport there was Stan sitting on the luggage carousel. In this book Devin has all of these rules that he follows, some to be "cool". but this kid Stan always wore a tie, and that was rule number twenty-one: no ties. another weird thing about Stan was that he was able to understand devins dog Fungus the cockerspaniel. When Stan went to school and was introduced by the teacher, he was standing in the front of the classroom and he stuck his finger up his nose. he was weird, and plus that, when they were both at lunch Devin was even more humiliated because instead of eating the pizza that the cafateria was serving he ate the paper plate. Stan wasn't your average kid, when he was washing dishes, he completed the task in a second. Also most of the time Devin saw stan he would have his finger up his nose, Devin was curious. So that night, he put a mirrior to Stans face and looked up it, WOW!! it had buttons and looked like a laptop, but up his nose. Just then, there was a UFO out side of the room, and Stan was waking up. So Devin went to hide, but saw stan go out to greet the aliens. They looked exactaly like him(nerdy with a tie). Stan was an alien from Pan, a planet far away from the earth, and there were very smart people their, the Smarty pants, and the Grand Pant. Anyway the rest of the book talks about Stan almost getting his big secret out, but the thing is Stan has to get a replacement part for his nose, or else the weird things that were happening around the town might have been traced back to Stan. This is a great book, if you like fun out of this world books, or books that are just strange this is a book i recommend.
Eugene: Gordon Korman has done a "Bang Up" Job!
Devin Hunter has a unique experience with his foriegn exchange buddy. He always thought he was wierd, and freaks out when he discovers his exchange buddy, Stan from Pan, is an alien with a computerized nose. Devin has to go through a lot of problems with his alien friend.
Wow! Gordan Korman did an excellent job writing this book. "Nose Pickers From Outer Space" is really cool. It entertained me the whole way through, and kept me laughing. Yet, it was pretty easy to read! I loved the catchy title, the humorous pictures, and the overall story.
If you like to laugh, are between the ages of 9-13, and want an easy book report, or want to be entertained, then this is the book for you! I highly reccommend that you read "Nose Pickers from Outer Space".
A DEFINITE "BOYS" BOOK
After all the series books for young girls, finally Gordon Korman is giving us "boys" books. It is so hard to find books for my eight year old son but he loved this book, and so did my 41 year old husband! Pure disgusting humor, any boy or anyone who thinks like a boy won't be able to put it down
