Copy-protection?! The good news is that with the japanese import you get 3 extra songs.
The bad news is that after spending $...you find out that the disc is COPY-PROTECTED! Not only can you not even make a copy for yourself, but your computer won't even play the thing.
Buyer Beware...
Three's Company
For those who were left a bit high & dry by the domestic release of NOCTURAMA, the 3 extra tracks here round things off & make for a more solid album. "Shoot Me Down" & "Everything Must Converge" are ballads in THE BOATMAN'S CALL tradition & both are gems. "Swing Low" brings NO MORE SHALL WE PART's "15 Feet of Pure White Snow" to mind. Lyrically it's just as oblique which may account for it's being left off the final release.
It's a shame these songs weren't included because they really do add rather than detract from the proceedings. Each adding a welcomed coda to the sprawling mayhem of "Babe I'm On Fire".
NOCTURAMA is a good offering in it's own right, but the extras included here make for a better one. Definitely worh seeking out. Die hard fans beware.
