In The New Way Things Work the Great Woolly Mammoth, the inventor's hapless assistant, returns, and this time you can help him improve his inventor's skills in the Mammoth School House. Play the challenging quiz and increase or decrease the mammoth's intelligence, depending on how well you do. The special tracking feature monitors the Mammoth's progress (and yours) throughout. Keep him well fed with knowledge and he'll be the perfect companion for your scientific discoveries.

Designed to teach the principles of science through a unique mixture of interactive simulation and creative gameplay, Pinball Science gives you the chance to design and play your own pinball game. Inspired by the award-winning CD-ROM The Way Things Work, the game is of truly mammoth proportions! First, however, you must restore three pinball worlds to full working order with the help of a mysterious journal left by their inventor. Within the journal you will find the clues, hints, and basic scientific knowledge you need to repair broken parts and customize the game to your own design. The more you progress, the higher your score--and the more you learn about science!
