With its unusual shape and elegant features, this New London Londonderry mantel clock is as striking a conversation starter as it is a useful timepiece. Carved from wood with a deep mahogany finish, the clock features simple but emphatic lines, a round face, and polished brass accents. The ivory dial is set with ornate hands and marked with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numbers for the minutes. A convex lens with a brass bezel covers the face, playing off of the acorn-style finial and the lion’s head side motifs. Designed for accurate and reliable operation, the clock’s German-made Hermle quartz chime is conveniently adjustable in multiple ways. You can choose from the single-bell Westminster chime or the two-tone Bim-Bam chime. Other controls adjust the chime’s volume, set it for the quarter-hour or just the hour, and turn it off at night.
