Temporarily Decent The swing is great - if you only plan on using it for one child. It worked really well for our first and was considered a lifesaver at many points. After he outgrew it, the swing was put in our storage room for about a year. When we got it out for a second child, it was a let down. The "mobile" part of the swing works fine, as well as the music. It does not, however, actually swing. Isn't that the reason you buy a swing? I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone planning on using it for multiple children.

>My husband and I splurged on this swing after reading all of the good reviews here and boy, is it seriously worth every penny! My son is 9 1/2 months and we still use the swing. At this point, I have it in his room and turn on just the music part to soothe him to sleep. Oddly enough, I even enjoy and am soothed by the music. :) It also works really well when he has a cold as he can sleep more upright than the crib. It is a battery hog, but we bought rechargeable batteries - if you do this from the start, then they are worth the money. We burned through 4D batteries about every 2 weeks or so when Jake was first born. It would be lovely if this swing could be plugged in....

Papasan Swing - good for young infants
Let me start out by reminding you of what is already known - that every child is different. The toys and gadgets that our first child most loved, or second child has no interest in. We bought this for our second child after he failed to enjoy the bouncer that our first child practically lived in for the first three months of life. Our second child enjoyed this swing a lot but outgrew it very quickly. By 15lbs, he stopped using it altogether. Not sure if he felt uncomfortable or if he just got tired of it. Overall, I would recommend this product.
