Customer Reviews of Natural 4-Tier Shelf with Wicker Baskets
Pleasantly surprised I looked in the store and on line at this item for many months awaiting the arrival of my baby girl. I happened to read the reviews on this item and was dissapointed at the low raiting of quality this product recieved, as it matched perfectly with my daughters room. I decided to take a chance and try it out. Thank goodness I did. I love it!!! It's pretty and sturdy and a great space saver. The others say the baskets are impossible, I did not find them so. With a little patience it was a breeze to put together and I am thrilled with it.
More Trouble than It's Worth
My husband and I registered for this and received it as a gift at our baby shower for our son. It is very cute and we liked the design and the size seemed perfect for our nursery. But, when my husband went to put this together, it was the BIGGEST pain of anything he has ever had to assemble. The boards didn't exactly match up and couldn't be readjusted. The baskets didn't match up well either and the screws that were included were not long enough to really secure the baskets well. Plus, the instructions were not very descriptive. What looks good on the internet doesn't always turn out good in real life!!! We will use this unit, mostly because it was so much trouble to put together that it would be more trouble to disassemble it and take it back.
I bought four, and I'm back for more!
I bought four of these (in the primary colors) to replace another storage unit in my kids' play room. These are so cute, and actually hold twice as much (and hide it) as the open plastic bin style that is so popular. I assembled them all myself, and had no real problems. I will admit that it was a little time consuming (1 hr each) but I did it while my kids were around trying to "help". Also, using a power drill made a huge difference. I was surprised the baskets required assembly, but they went together after a few small adjustments and are holding up great after 4 months of use by a 5 and 2 yr old. If our decor ever changes, I anticipate being able to make new liners w/o a problem. I highly recommend them and find them to be a good value. I am about to add a few more to our set.
