Customer Reviews of NFL 2K1
GEEZE LA WEEZE This game is so incredible that I can't find a good enough word to describe it. The graphics are so real. When it's cold out, you can even see their breath. The options are also unreal, for example, you can pick if you want it to snow light or hard. And the gameplay is what truly puts this game in the golden seat from all the other football games. I can easily break out for 10 yards or so. You can even actually BREAK tackles and run for about 40 or 50 yards. The passing is just as fun as running as well. And here is the sad part. I have only played this games exhibition mode. I haven't even tried Franchise mode or online gaming. This game is truly outstanding. If you tried NFL 2K and hate it(wonder why), don't be shy to give this game whirl. Better yet, just go buy it and you will see. I've played Madden 2001 for PS2 at a friends house. Sorry Madden fans, but I have to say NFL 2K1 is the best football game out right now. And believe me, if I could pt more than five stars, I would.
Let me explain first
This is a very excellent football game. great graphics, great game play. If you want a different experience though, build up your little team and play on coach mode. Why? Well anyone can throw the ball to Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison 10 times or run the same play's all day. But to see how your players really measure up, just call the play and let them run it (better yet, putthe camera on cinema mode and pretend your watching the game on Sunday). My only complaints are:
1. I franchised the Eagles seasons and got the EXACT same schedule for year 3 that I had for year 2. What's up with that?
2. No career stats, I don't get to see Donovan McNabb break the NFL record for yards and touchdowns?
3. Created players don't copy over into franchise mode. I wanted to be the NFL's all-time leading rusher!
That's it, and those three things are what makes Madden slightly better than NFL 2K1. Other than that, buy it. (but keep a copy of Madden too!)
