Customer Reviews of My Baby Can Talk - First Signs
My daugter loves this, but. My 11 month old daughter loves this and she has picked up on a lot of things like dog, cat, book, eat, and more. My only complaint is the "milk" sign. She is breastfed so has no idea that milk is white and comes in a carton, or is on cheerios, or is in a bottle. She gets kind of confused when this sign comes on because I do use it when she nurses but, the video doesn't show that.
BUY IT!
I can't say enough about these DVD's - my son started with them a six months and knows almost all the signs on both DVD's at 12 months. He even puts signs together like "more food" and "shirt bath" (when he wants to take off his shirt and get in the tub)

>i'm not an advocate of letting kids watch tv - but make these DVDs an exception to your no tv rule. START YOUNG - don't wait until your kid is frustrated to start sign language!
great dvd
I love this dvd, more importantly, my son loves this dvd. He'll watch it the entire way through and is learning signs already, he is 15 months old and I've had the video a month. Sometimes I watch it with him, other times I put it in and he becomes so engrossed in it that I can actually get a few things done! He isn't much of a tv watcher, but this dvd holds his attention from the time I push play. The dvd shows an item (cat, for instance)with a voice saying cat, shows a woman signing cat with a voice saying cat, and shows numerous toy and real cats, a baby signing cat, again shows a woman signing cat with a voice saying cat, and shows one more cat before going on to the next word. This dvd has the signs for cat, dog, more, eat, drink, milk, book, dinosaur, cow, horse, go, car, bunny, mouse, bear, and several more. I'm just writing this down from memory, so my list may not be completely accurate. I'm mostly interested in my son learning words so that I can understand when he is hungry or thirsty, and would rather be able to pick and choose the words on the dvd, but between this dvd and the "My Baby Can Talk - Sharing Signs" dvd, my son is learning most of what I consider the most useful signs. I highly recommend this dvd for those interested in teaching their baby to sign.
