Customer Reviews of Musically Incorrect
Lars is Crazy! This album is fantastic. The only reason I'm writing this review is because I happened to notice that the average review was only 1.5 stars. That's insane! If you've ever liked anything by Y&T and you don't like this record, you just must be crazy! To Lars, who says to turn to older Y&T albums like Struck Down, I'd just like to say that I think the redone version of "I'm Lost" kicks the 1978 version from Struck Down in the ARSE! I'll admit that this is probably not the best Y&T album ever created (my personal faves are Mean Streak, In Rock We Trust and Contagious) but it does display Y&T's musical style and is unmistakeably their own. I don't see how any Y&T fan could like their other stuff and not like this. Maybe I'm the one who can't hear, I don't know.
I love "Long Way Down", "Quicksand" and "Don't Know What to Do". I even liked Phil Kennemore on lead vocals on "Nowhere Land". That was the only song that doesn't necessarily sound like Y&T, but the rest rock! I'll stick "No Regrets" up against any other single song on almost any other album and it will hold its own every time! Anyway, if the negative reviews have dissuaded any potential purchasers of this record, I say that if you like any other Y&T record that you will like at least 4 songs on this one a lot. Sorry Lars, but I dissagree with you on this one.
Also, as i've been writing this review, I've been listening to "Endangered Species" for the first time (I just picked it up), and I think that it is a fantastic album as well! Just for everyones reference...
Too bad!
This album is just not any good! Nothing of the earlier Y&T is present and that's a pity. Turn to "Struck down", "Earthshaker", "Black tiger" and "Mean streak" instead.
Y & T rocks
Yesterday and Today have always been a great rock band. It's just too bad "real" rock died out. This album has everything you could want. Explosive guitars, great vocals, screaming solos, and pounding drums. If you want rock, go with Y & T.
