Customer Reviews of Mourning After
"The Mouning After" 40 below summer has come a long way. Inspired by bands from Slipknot to Taproot, they have been able to get two records out in the open and still have a really good fan base. "The Mourning After" shows the world that 40 below summer is here to stay. With there latest offering Cristin Machado from Ill Nino appears in track 7 called *F**k Everyone*. And Max Illidge the singer of 40 below summer appears on track 9 called "Have You Ever Felt?" on the new "Ill Nino" album called "Confession's" Using the power of melody and the power of gut wrenching guitar riff's , powerful drums and curses screams and bellows out of this world. 40 below summer is something you can not compare to anyone else. They are very original. Not commonly found now a days in music. They are a band that never got any recognition in the past. But they have stepped it up with "The Mourning After". It's a awesome CD. All I have been listening to is "The Mourning After". They also play the best show's. They do not need all the hight technical equipment. They are just a normal band that steps it up. If they ever come around your area. Check them out. And if your from Massachussetts. See you there.
Nu Metal at its best
Absolutely amazing! 40 Below Summer is definitely one of the most talented bands to come out of the nu metal scene. They blend great guitar riffs, beautifully melodic vocals, and off-center drum beats to create a sound that is a breath of fresh air in the midst of all the other copycats that have come about in the past few years. Though not quite as heavy overall as Invitation to the Dance(their first album), you won't really care once you start to get into this album. One minute, you're entranced in melodic guitar riffs and beautiful singing, then the next you're being pounded from every direction. This album is a step up from the last one, by far. The lead singer has definitely been working on his vocal melodies. Don't group these guys as just another nu metal group; they are much more than that. These guys have the potential to be one of the top metal bands out there, with a little more fine-tuning and rounding out of their sound. Go buy this and Invitation to the Dance ASAP! You won't be disappointed! Rock on 40 Below!
Self medicate
If you're here because you heard "Self Medicate" on the radio and you think that the rest of the CD might be as good as "Self Medicate"...meaning a driving beat with lyrics that are understandable and sing-along-to...move on...you've come to the wrong place. Find "Self Medicate" on the Internet somewhere (perhaps for free!) and save your money for something better. Sorry, fans.
