Customer Reviews of Morbid Campfire Songs
Great CD ! I've listened to Macabre for years and I never thought I'd hear an acoustic set by them, but here it is. And it's actually really good! There's only five songs, and they aren't very long, but if you like Macabre then it's worth getting. The one song that stands out is "The Geins" concerning Ed Gein from Wisconsin. The lyrics are hillarious. It's worth buying the CD just for this song.
Relaxing
I remember this album when it was for sale on the Cannibal Corpse/Macabre tour back in 2002. It had a different cover but the music is still the same. The band only made 1000 copies and it sold out real fast. Now it's re-released again..this time on "Season's of Mist" records.
I thought this album was going to be all fast like there other stuff but instead it was slow and mellow. The lyrics are still lurid and at the same time it is sooooooooooooo relaxing. I will give these guys more credit than any other underground band out there. This album was better than there 2000 release "Dahmer."
If you are a Macabre fan this is not like there other music....it is slow and very mellow. So if you don't like that kind of music don't purchase it.
For all the people out there reading this....even if you are not a metal fan just give this CD a try. It is great and I bet the President of the United States would enjoy it.
