The Mio 136's comprehensive route planning is reliable and easy to follow, with point-by-point driving directions conveyed both verbally and visually in real time. Users can view maps in landscape mode on the 3.5-inch TFT touch-screen LCD in either 2D or 3D. Alternately, they can let the audible navigator guide them to their destination. Should they take a wrong turn or experience an unplanned detour, the Mio 136 automatically recalculates the route and delivers new directions in real time. In 3D mode, users will enjoy a safer and better grasp of what lies ahead, including landmarks, road conditions, and points of interest (which include airports, bus/train stations, hospitals, restaurants, and tourist attractions). Additional features include route and trip planning and an easy-to-use interface with large onscreen icons and hot keys/buttons. The Mio 136 also offers an added bonus by doubling as an MP3 media player when not functioning as a GPS receiver.
The North American maps come on an included CD-ROM, but easily transfer to the 256 MB SD/MMC storage card via the USB card reader. The user then inserts the card and map into the Mio 136's memory slot. By using a larger storage card, users can add maps for other countries and regions. In addition to the memory card and USB card reader, the Mio 136 also comes with an AC charger, a cigarette lighter charger, USB cables, a protective case, headphones, and a mounting bracket and arm. The device measures 4.72 by 2.79 by 0.65 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 0.35 pounds.

Customer Reviews of Mio 136 Mobile 32 MB GPS System with Visual and Voice Guidance
Mio 136 GPS Had about 5 days to get familiar with the product. Very impressed with the features and quality. The Mio 136 comes complete with all the attachments and accessories included. The system is relatively easy to use and navigate with. In the South Florida area this GPS system has been right on the money (within feet of accuracy) and receives a strong a signal within seconds of booting up. Perhaps the only weakness of the system is the memory card. To truly enjoy the features of the MP3 player and to download all the maps for the U.S.A. you will need to purchase a much larger memory card, as the included 256mb card will hold around only one U.S. region at a time. <

All looks but no Go
Just got my unit yesterday. It took about 20 mins to get its signals and get hooked up. And it gave my location off by 500 yards. After initial signal search the unit is pretty quick getting signals thereafter.(but still wrong) Used it to get to work and the route it gave just happens to be the long route to work so I used my normal route and it kept on telling me to get back on the route it gave me. I don't know what seems to be the problem but it could be my neighborhood here in vegas is recently built.. Pros: size, screen color, price, accessisories it came with, looks
