Better than Carters or Gerber
I started with the small size for my newborn and I keep ordering the next size up as he grows. I wouldn't buy any other brand. I've gotten Carters and Gerber onsies as gifts and the Miniwear have definitely remained my favorite. The Carters onsies lose their shape and get baggy and stretched out by the end of the day and the Gerber brand tends to get rough and scratchy after repeated washings. The Miniwear brand is super soft, stretchy, holds it's shape well, and lasted through washings well enough for us to pass down to the next baby. I highly recommend these!

Ok for backups
I used Miniwear and Carter's onesies for my baby. The Miniwear onesies were just "OK." They did not fit as good as the Carter's bodysuits and they didn't last as long. The seems frayed after two washings and they shrank down so that by baby didn't fit into them at all. I only purchased Miniwear onesies because at the time I didn't have enough onesies for my baby who was just starting to learn how to feed himself and would go through several onesie changes a day. I ended up buying more Carter's bodysuits and they were perfect as usual. I recommend Carter's highly and once you get a taste of the quality Carter's offers you won't ever want to switch brands!

Great onesies for your newborn!!
I ordered these at the last minute thinking I needed a few smaller onesises for the first few weeks. These not only fit perfectly, but they stretched enough for her to be able to wear them for at least the first two months! My daughter was 7 lb 6 oz at birth, and 12 lb by 2 months. These fit her fine.

re. the other review stating that they're too small for a newborn: They LOOK like it when you take them out of the package, but they're so stretchy they actually fit fine.
