Customer Reviews of Mike Austin: Secrets From the Game's Longest Hitter
Disappointed This DVD lacks many details on the dynamics and intricacies of the Austin swing. It gives a very high level overview of the Mike Austin swing and if you learn from watching Mike Dunaway hit balls, this is the DVD for you. Watching his movements directly contradicts some of the other Mike Austin books/DVDs that I have. Leaves me wondering who is right and what exactly Mike Austin's method is.
Needs detail, but it does work
Mike Dunaway, who presents most of the material, seems to have difficulty expressing the concepts in a clear and concise manner. There also seem to be important details that are glossed over or omitted outright. Anyone who tries this DVD should prepare himself for some interpretation, some research, and some work. This is not a fast cure that will have you smoking 400 yard drives down range tomorrow.

>In all fairness, I am now hitting my normal 7 iron 175 yards, and I can put it out farther than that if I need to. It did not happen overnight, and I have spent a lot of time studying, practicing, and analyzing all sorts of golf swings over the past few years. I doubt that I would have this kind of power without the aid of the material presented here, but what the material provided me with more than anything else was the inclination to experiment with variations on these ideas and ideas of my own without concern for what others thought. The trade off is that my mistakes are amplified by the increased power.
