Customer Reviews of Microsoft MSDN Universal 7.0 Revised - 1 Year
Simply the best way to fly in the MS world While Microsoft has certainly made some serious mistakes in its tenure, as a developer it is hard to escape their world. WHen it comes to web applications, a good majority of the companies out there have at least some development in either ASP or .NET. This means a good developer should have a great set of tools. <

>With the price, MSDN is not a good buy for a hobbyist. FOr a business, however, it is the best way to go, as each developer's Office installation, developer tools and all development servers (up to 10 installations for most server products) are covered with a single license. When you add up the cost of the software, it is one of the best bargains going, esp. if you develop on a variety of Microsoft servers. (In many ways, just using Visual Studio, Office and SQL Server developer more than pay for the set). <
> <
>In addition, you get monthly updates to your subscription, so you always have the latest Microsoft software. <

>If you do not venture into the Microsoft world, MSDN is a gigantic waste. If you do, it is the best way to fly.
