Who'd have thought that an Indian Head Penny could go so far in it's life!! and Wish You Were Here, will pull at your heartstrings.
A GREAT UNAPPRECIATED ARTIST AND CD
You know, in this day of all those pretty-boy country singers, such as Kenny Chesney, TimMcGraw, and others, it's a shame that this gentleman has not fared more successfully. Although he's a very attractive looking man, and had a great start in his early days, Billy has faded far out of the current country music scene. This CD proves that there is no justice in this radio-oriented, let's play the same old songs over and over, world. This collaborative effort with Bread's David Gates is a fine piece of work, demonstrating not only Billy's clear and emotional voice, but also the passionate songwriting of both Billy and Gates. Their joint ventures on this one, "I Can't Find the Words to Say Goodbye" and "Love and Bide" for instance, are great ballads; I mean, how good is Kenny Chesney's "Me and You?". At any rate, this whole collection is a great addition to any country music fan, and even those who don't think they like country music. Billy likes to have fun with his songs, but he can also tear your heart out on songs like the aforementioned ones and "Wish You Were Here." Billy, hang in there; you're due a comeback!
