Tuck this compact (12 inches high by 9 inches wide by 9 inches deep) coffeemaker on a counter at home or office and brew a 10-cup pot of coffee in 10 minutes. Pour water into the reservoir (levels are marked from 2 to 10 cups), swing out the filter-holder and place a paper filter (included) inside, and then spoon in ground coffee with the scoop (included). Slide the carafe onto the warming plate and push the "on" button--water heats and drips into the filter. Because it's cone-shaped the filter-holder ensures water flows through all the coffee. Impatient for that first cup? Remove the carafe and its top releases a spring-loaded button on the filter cone, causing the coffee to stop dripping. The removable filter cone and carafe can go into the dishwasher, as the carafe is lightweight glass, but the rest of the coffeemaker is hard plastic, for easy wipe-down cleaning. --Fred Brack

Customer Reviews of Melitta ABC10W 10-Cup Aroma Brew Coffeemaker, White
Pretty good, just one gripe This is a very nice, high-quality coffee maker. I have had mine for several months and the coffee is good. The only thing that I would change is that I would add one of those little windows where you can see how many cups of water you are pouring in. As you pour the water in, the little red ball rises, you know what I mean? I often make only 2 or 3 cups at a time, and with the silver metal band around the carafe, RIGHT at the 2-to-3 cup line, it's about impossible to tell how many cups you've got in there. The box says there is a feature to tell you how many cups you've poured in, but they are referring to lines inside the actual cavity where you pour the water. I guess you could lean over and peer in there to see what level you were at. Anyhow, if you always make 4 or more cups at a time, this will not matter to you at all! Like I said before, the coffee is great, I just know in the future to always get a coffee maker with the little window thingie.
ones is not enough
I broke my coffee maker and was looking to replace it with a new one. I found my mellita coffee maker at Amazon. what a relieve. You have no idea how long I was looking. The Mellita makes just about the best coffee ever. Sincerely Erika Neblung
