My office manager & I read every issue cover to cover As a pediatric surgeon, I read standard medical journals that apply to my field (eg, Journal of Pediatric Surgery, Journal of the American College of Surgeons, Annals of Surgery, Journal of Trauma, etc). Medical Economics is not just another dry medical journal in that you won't find any scientific or review papers. Its articles get into the business side of medicine, something we were not really taught in med school or residency. There are also many helpful tips regarding the logistics of running a medical practice. In addition, many articles illustrate the human side of medicine, often describing life-changing interactions with patients, which is at the core of why most of us went to med school in the first place. The articles are also written in a more readable style than you will find in standard medical journals. <
