This time around, Dan's been yanked from his eternal slumber once again, only to find himself inside a museum in Victorian England, where an occultist named Palethorn has wakened the dead. Dan must defeat these walking fossils, using his sword and other weapons, while also solving an array of puzzles. Dan's got some new moves to help him along the way, including the ability to stick his skull onto a walking hand so that he can search inside small cracks.
Compared to the series debut, MediEvil II offers better graphics, but isn't quite as funny. The original's 3-D camera problems haven't been fixed and in some cases are worse than before, but overall MediEvil II makes for a worthy follow-up. --Robb Guido
Pros:
- Clean, gothic graphics
- New moves and more playable characters than the first
- Hyper camera
- Level design could have been better

Customer Reviews of MediEvil 2
Medievil II falls short... I am probably the biggest MediEvil fan out there. The game has so many things going for it. It is funny, action-packed, and scary with beautiful graphics and music! It is a perfect game because it is fun. You can get lost in it for hours. Now maybe I'm biased because I'm an autumn baby, so the October/Halloween feeling is a big reason I love it...but any way you look at it, it's a solid game.
When I found out they were making a MediEvil 2, I practically strangled my poor little brother in excitement. I ran out and bought it the first day it came out. Unfortunetly, to put it simply, it's not as good as it's predescessor. Frankly, the sequel could have far surpassed the original with all of it's new ideas...but, what makes it weaker is the fact that they decided to axe out a lot of what made the first one so great! So, without me rambling on in this review, I'm just going to simply seperate it into the good and the bad.
The Bad: -This time around they've decided that once the health stream is tapped...it's tapped forever. There is no way now to go back and get your health filled up. I never, ever, ever cheat! This is the first time i did. Basically, you have no choice if you want to beat the game. Only use it to refill health though.
-They've also nixed the cinematics. The ones they have, they made them using the game graphics. I sorely missed the old ones from the first. We only get one in the beginning and end. The first one is good...the last one leaves us hanging. It didn't tie up any ends and it didn't make any sense(maybe it'll be explained in 3....Here's hoping! )
-The only problem with 1 was that it was too short. The ONLY one. It had 22 levels. ......And for some reason, Medievil 2 only recieved 15.
-The futuristic space ship in this one was never explained. This time around, we're in London in 1886 and there are more advancements in technology since the medieval days. But this is above and beyond even the time machines. (By the way, for 3, let's not get any more futuristic).
-Dankenstein was an awesome idea! But it fell flat. It didn't feel like you were a frankenstein creation. The boxing game came from NOWHERE!
-A lot of times before or after a level, music will be cued and then abruptly stop. It seems like a glitch in the game that makes you wonder if you're missing something. Cinematics anyone?
-I wish all the levels were like Kensington, Wolfrum Hall, White Chapel, and the last.
The Good: -I'm running out of space, so i'll try and sum this up quickly. Overall, there are a ton of good points. Dan-hand, the mummified love interest, the professor, winston, the spiv, double weapons, new enemies & difficulty, and new options were great additions! As were some of the finest levels. Unfortunetly, the bad always seems to outweigh the good in all people's minds. So, to sum it up, MediEvil II is a strong game. What makes it weak is its lack of old features. It almost feels like the team behind the game made it as just an extent off of the old one instead of making a completely new game w/some old ideas. I know I'm leaving something out, but I assure to anyone, the game is awesome, and I truly hope Sir Dan will be around for a long time.
Action Packed
Great games for all ages. The main character is very funny and brings alot of humor to a somewhat "scary" game. Many levels with each new one more challenging. Overall- best game for psx
Another solid performance!
Picking up where the first left off once again we join the fight. I haven't gotten very far in this game but I can see that it is pretty much like the first. Decent graphics and humor surround you and a nice plot line is unfolding. Definately worth the bargain price.
