Customer Reviews of Massive Killing Capacity
Massive Killing Capacity - a killing machine From the opening track onwards even the least musical person can tell that what will follow is one epic blast of grindcore / death crossbred metal.
As many of the reviews have previously said, Dismember adopt the thickness of Entombed's guitars but have a much crunchier, metal edge to them. Setting these two bands apart.
All of the songs on the album follow a definite pattern. Highly brutal and melodic and as the album's cover image suggests - it's the perfect sound track to war. Songs such as "Collection By Blood" really demonstrate Dismember's unique take to the musical genre, providing highly melodic guitar work, yet still maintaining in essence the brutality stereotyped to death metal / grindcore.
I may be biased as I prefer melodic death metal and semi-extreme vocals to the standard almost tuneless brutality of death metal - but even the new listeners of the genre to the most hardened death metal fans will be able to appreciate this work of art.
Brutal, thick guitars riffs maintaining a constant melodic edge backing vicious, semi-extreme vocals - we introduce, Dismember
This Entombed... I mean Dismember CD stinks
OK, you have to admit that Dismember sounds almost exactly like Entombed. You know it's true. Well, maybe except for the vocals, but the guitars sound just like them. However, Like An Ever Flowing Stream and Indecent and Obscene were killer albums, but when Entombed pulled a 180 degree turn, and started doing something completely different, I guess the guys from Dismember said "Well, we can do that too!" To be honest, this sounds like it's trying to be Entombed "Wolverine Blues". Not ENTIRELY, just the fact that they slowed down the pace a little, and tried to add some heaviness to the music. I mean just like Entombed decided to do more of a groove metal thing, that's what this CD sounds like it's trying to be. But thankfully this little stunt did not stick with them like it did with Entombed, cos they are back to doing no BS death metal. So see ya Entombed, you are crossed out in my book. But this is the only Dismember I do not own on CD, and don't think I ever will. Later
it rulez
I can't say this is the heavest band's work, but it's such another thing of your attention... If you heard other dismember albums, this is different...really killing album and really great work...buy it...listen it...and die by it...:]
