Customer Reviews of Marriage Partnership
Not just for Christians Not to blaspheme, but this magazine isn't just for Christians, and frankly isn't just for married people. My marriage failed in 2003. I am taking steps in my current relationship (including reading this magazine) to ensure that if it progresses to marriage, it won't end up the same way the last one did! <

>I first read this magazine several years ago at the home of a Christian friend of mine. I was impressed. I am SO not a Christian, and yet I find a lot of helpful information in the magazine. <
> <
>As others have mentioned, it's not preachy. Non-Christians can get nearly the same benefits from its good advice as Christians by simply exchanging Christian terms for a secular ones. Christians may just get a little extra oomph toward improving the spiritual connection between themselves and their partners. But since the magazine is not preachy, the spiritual connection between partners of ANY religion can be improved with a few terminology modifications! <

>The magazine's approach and message transcends religion. It emphasizes open communication, working together, mutual respect, and other common sense approaches to successful interpersonal communication. <

>The main reason I subscribed to this magazine was to give my Christian boyfriend a resource for relationship improvement besides just me and my own readings and research. LOL He seems to respect the fact that I'd do this for him.
Make this a staple in your home!
I have found Marriage Partnership magazine to be an almost essential element for not just newlyweds, but for long term marriages as well. The focus here is not just on building a strong marriage, but on building a Christian marriage. As such, you won't find a bunch of watered down "feel good" emotional stuff. If that's what you're looking for, you'll be better off taking your chances with an agenda motivated psychotherapist. But if you want straight to the point Christian guidance on how to build a strong marriage, you'll find several great and practical articles in each issue.

>Yes, this is a Christian based magazine, but provides guidance without being a drum beating, preachy type publication. I recommend this magazine to everyone who is striving to make their marriage all that God intended it to be.

A solid resource for married Christians...
My wife and I have subscribed to Marriage Partnership for the entirety of our three-year marriage, and I expect that we will continue to utilize this resource for many years to come. Marriage Partnership includes a number of interesting snippets of information, statistics about marriage, and stories of struggles and victories for normal Christian couples. There are lengthier articles that address a full range of topics that we all encounter in our day-to-day lives as married folks, presented from internationally-renowned marriage experts, as well as lesser-known freelance authors from many walks of life.

>I have only three (rather minor) complaints about MP. First, I would suggest that it would be well-served for the articles to occasionally try to dig a little deeper into some of the topics that are addressed in the pages of this magazine. Marriage is clearly a complex institution, and it seems that some issues would be better addressed with a more nuanced approach, rather than some of the fluffier stuff that is occasionally presented. Second, there are far too many advertisements in relation to the volume of actual content of the magazine. And with only four issues per year, it is less than a fantastic value.

>With these criticisms notwithstanding, we give a one-year subscription to Marriage Partnership as a gift at every wedding that we attend. I enjoy reading each issue and know that my marriage has been enriched and strengthened because of this solid resource.
