Good but does not fill in the holes... I liked this movie. It was a quick movie that documents one mating season of the emperor penguin. Stunning pictures of their travels and tribulations, the producers are to be commended for such a daring documentary. <

For example, I would liked to have seen the reactions of penquins returning from sea to find their eggs or young dead. Do they immediately return to sea? What do they do? <

I thought it was odd that after all that investment, the mothers would just let their babies be attacked by a bird. INTRODUCTION:First of all let me tell you that im not a fan of documentaries but i loved penguins.The documentary shows how penguins are courageous animal and how tough their life is.The penguins have no home and food isnt always there,is tough to get.Its a great documentary about penguins all you want to know is here.

>REWIEW:The penguins are very cute animals but they dont have a great life.The cold winds affect them even if people think they are used to it.Food is hard to get once the mom has the baby penguin she passes the baby to the male while she goes to get food in the ocean and predators like the seal can kill them.The babies arent safe if not with their parent,eagles try to catch the little penguins to eat them.The babies are so cute!So dont tell me penguins dont have a tough life.We should respect these animals more because they are outstanding and very poor creatures.

>CAMERA:You see very well the camera captures the penguins in groups,while fishing and even when the babies are attacked by eagles.The view is very good despite the wind and snow.They even capture the female looking for a male and much more.The conditions for shooting this video were dangerous the cold could have killed but they went there to give us a great documentary about penguins.

>THE BONUSES:The bonus is as weird as it is a documntary of the documentary.Well a sort of behind the scenes with the people who made the film.These people went right to Antartica were its freezing cold everyday to shoot this film.They had to wear a lot of coats and stuff and it takes half an hour to put all those clothes on!They had to stop filming for a month at one point because they almost got killed by the temperature.So i respect these guys a lot because it was a tough work.

>APPRECIATION:Despite not being a fan of documentary i liked this one a lot it was interresting to follow the life of the penguins i didnt knew a lot about penguins but now i do i totaly loved this documentary.This documentary follows about everithing about penguins from the march of the emperors to the birth of baby penguins.

Fantastic Footage!!!
I applaud the brave souls who endured the rages of Antarctica's cold to film this fantastic footage. I know my son learned a lot, and I certainly collected a whole new perspective on Antarctica. It is certainly more than the winter wasteland many tend to visualize. The revelation of dedication to their young, and the role the male takes on to protect the offspring inside the egg, was an event I couldn't even imagine. What these creatures must go through to preserve their species has this viewer's deep appreciation. Think you have a tough life? Try being an Emperor Penguin...
