Very happy with the seat. I wanted to get my infant car seat inspected for proper installation but learned that these checks only happen in our city about once a month, so since my daughter was already about 16 lbs, decided to get the next size seat to have them properly install it and that way I wouldn't have to come again.
They did a fabulous job. I really regret not using their services to install the evenflo infant seat. They told me it was installed improperly. Too loose, and too upright. The reason the babies' heads fall forward is because the seat does not recline back enough. The products that they sell for babies to help support their heads are not really approved by the manufacturers of these seats. So I definitely would urge everyone to go to these inspections and have them install the seat or inspect it if you have already install it. They get almost a week's training in installing them, how much training do we get?
The Britax Marathon seat is great. It looks comfy. It reclines so far back in rear facing position that I can see my baby over the seat. No need for dangerous mirrors. Of course I would only look when we are stopped. It seems easier to take the harness off without loosening it than on the infant seat. My baby doesn't seem to like to get into the seat because the harness seems a little awkward to put on. But I think she is comfy once she is in. Overall I'm happy with the cool seat.

We purchased the Alpha Omega from Babies R Us... installed it with the help of the police department to make sure it was installed correctly... we used a car seat wedge ( sold at Babies R Us ) and finally got it at the correct reclining position... 45 degrees for a rear-facing infant. We like that car seat but the straps got twisted a lot and its frustrating to fix with a baby in the seat at the same time. So when my mother went to purchase a car-seat for her car for my son who at 4 months has outgrown his infant carrier ( 21 lbs ! ) .. we decided on the Britax Marathon... since it holds up to 65 lbs he hopefully will use it for a long time. We installed it using the LATCH assembly and let me tell you.. that thing is SOLID and wont move AT ALL ! It did not move when I pushed on it or pulled.... so it made me feel very comfortable having my son in it. I recommend this car-seat even though it is somewhat pricey.... can u put a price on YOUR childs safety ? I cant... We will purchase another one for our other car.

Best CAR SEAT ever!!!
When my son was born, I bought one of the Alpha Mega and one of the marathon carseats--one for each car. In comparing the two, they are both comfortable for my son, but I like the Marathon better. The latch hooks are sooooo much easier to take in and out of the car, the straps never get tangled/twisted like the Alpha Mega, and it seems to tilt back further and is more comfortable to my son (whines/cries less in it, and when he falls asleep, his head rests nicely on the side of the seat, not falling forward like when he's in the Alpha Mega). I highly recommend this seat!
