Customer Reviews of Marathon Racer Convertible Car Seat with LATCH
I absolutly love it! We purchased this car seat for my son, who's now 6.5 months old, before he was even born. <

>We werent interested in using an infant carrier that would recieve minimal use, if we could go straight to car seat that would provide years of usage and protection. I chose the Marathon over the Roundabout because it actually fit BETTER rear-facing in my Jeep Liberty with my sons booster than the Roundabout. I also like that it has a larger weight limit, and that its rated higher in consumer reports. <

>* The Marathon was very easy to install into my Jeep Liberty with the LATCH system. I have it installed behind the driver, with my sons booster in the middle seat (easier to place my youngest son inside his car seat rather than reaching over my sons booster to do so). It fits snugly and securely, and is really lightweight. <
>* I love that the five-point harness is easy to adjust. I have seen complaints that peoples toddlers can adjust the belts while inside the car seat, I thoroughly checked this out and found no way a child in the height/weight limit could accomplish this. I also love that the strap placement is correct, maybe its just my son, but he's VERY small for his age, and has always had the shoulder/thigh straps in the right place. <
>* The fabric is very durable, and I found very easy to remove, and wash spit-up off of it. Its also comfortable, and breathable. There's also a fabric piece that protects your baby from the potentially hot buckle near their legs/crotch. <
>* The recline is also nice, and easy to adjust. I found my son to be very comfortable, and that he is asleep instantly. With the added infant support I purchased, he has been extremely comfortable as well. <

>I love the Marathon, its easy to use, rated #1 in consumer reports, and will be with my family for years. defiantly something that I recommend!
We are loyal Britax owners!
I am a mother of 3 children, a 3.5 year old, and, almost, 7 month old twins.

>We were deliberating among the Britax Marathon, the Triumph DLX, and the Graco Comfort sport for the boys. We were able to try ALL of the seats in my Minivan (at BRU, they will let you try, and it did take quite a while!). The DLX didnt fit well at all. There was no way we could fit both seats, rear facing in the middle two seats in my van... After the DLX we tried the Marathon (to be precise, the Racers) and they fit very snugly! They also installed in minutes, so we were happy knowing that we would be able to purchase two, and just transfer cars! Even though the Marathons were great, we tried to put in a Graco, to find that it was inferior!

>The Britax Marathons Car seats hold up to 65 lbs, which is AMAZING, and will be with the twins (although very small) for quite some time! I love that the fabric is soft, comfortable, and easy to wipe up or wash. The car seats recline in both forward, and rear facing positions, and they install well, and easily, in both positions. With the LATCH system the Marathons are easy to use, but without they are still one of the simpler models out there. They comfort the boys while sleeping, and they make life so much easier! I can adjust the five-point restraint system without removing the car seats, and the straps are comfortably positioned, and easy to use. Not to mention the Britax Marathon Convertible Car seat is the SAFEST car seat out there on the market. I love them, and wouldnt trade them for ANYTHING!

>My husband and I are now loyal Britax customers, and only wished that we would have purchased a Britax booster for our daughter, rather than a Graco.
Britax Marathon Racer Convertible Car Seat Review
Our 8 month old daughter is a large baby who already weighs 22 pounds and is 28 inches long, meaning that she has exceeded the height requirement for her infant carrier. However, she still needs to be rear facing. After doing much on-line research, my husband and I narrowed our choices to the Evenflo Triumph or the Britax Marathon convertible car seats. Both had excellent safety ratings and positive reviews from other consumers. We chose the Britax Marathon, however, based on its forward facing weight limit of 65 pounds! Most convertible seats only allow up to 40lbs. It just made sense to us to purchase a seat we could continue to use for a longer period of time.

>My only initial concern was that, in rear-facing mode, the Britax might not fit in my Honda Accord, which is our primary travel vehicle. However, it fits just fine right behind the passenger's seat. (The sales staff at Babies R US will let you try it out in your car. Don't be afraid to ask!) I don't understand reviewers who have said it doesn't fit in a smalller sedan type car or that they have to push the seat all the way against the dash? Not only does it fit, but I have plenty of leg room (and I'm 5'10') and can keep my own seat at a comfortable angle. The baby is safe, comfortable, and always happy to get in the car (and usually sleeps immediately because the seat is so comfortable and soft).

>As for ease of installation, my husband read the instructions and installed it in 5-10 minutes. Some reviewers have said it was difficult to install. This is NOT TRUE. He is even able to move it from my car to his Ford Exporer with relative ease. It fits nicely in either vehicle.
