New Ideas in a Friendly Format
Mailbox magazine has been a curriculum staple in my classroom for the past ten years. Every issue has ideas based around new and familiar themes presented in an easy to understand style. Many of the ideas are submitted by other teachers who are actively teaching, so you know the activities have been tested and all the bugs worked out. The ideas presented are always age appropriate and take into consideration the growing skills of preschoolers as the school year progresses. You will find ideas for every area of your lesson plans : art, snack, socialization, transitions, music and finger plays, small and large group activities, as well as centers that emphasize math, social studies, science and what ever else you are looking for. The material works equally well for those in a day care situation or a traditional preschool setting. I highly recommend this resource to beginning and experienced teachers alike.

Teacher of 3 year olds at a Church Daycare
We're doing a theme this week on Nursery Rhythms & I picked up an old Mailbox dated 2000. I found Nursery Rhythms. I jumped at the chance 2 start getting ideas. I found a lamb I can copy 2 do crayon shavings on, an idea on There was an Old Woman who lived in a Shoe & an idea 4 crafts on Humpty Dumpty. There r recipes that u can adapt 4 your age appropriate group. I like the pages u can tear out. I need more ideas 4 my centers & would like a suggestion on any MAAILBOX thatcould help. My centers are Lego Land, Crafts, Library & Puzzle, Opening Center, Kitchen Center with a salon. I'd like 2 c some Bible stories relating 2 things on the outside cover of the issue. Being a preschool teacher at a Church daycare would really b of great assistance. I was wondering if this could start a.s.a.p. I would like 2 receive a free issue of PRESCHOOL. Thank u so much 4 taking your time 2 give ideas 4 teachers that want 2 do their best. With our society as rushed as it is it's nice 2 know that MAILBOX can assist in making teacher's lesson plans a whole lot less time consuming. I've picked up a lot of academic ideas that the students need 2 learn before they reach Kindergarten. Thank u again.
