Best Stroller EVER
After going through 4 or 5 strollers with one child, the last being an Eddie Bauer that once she sat up, would not turn period. I even had people stop me in the mall that used to have that stroller and tell me how horrible it was. So I happened upon the 2004 Maclaren model for $60 and figured I would try it. Absolutely love it, you can steer this stroller with one hand. My daughter is big for her age, she's taller than my friends 3 yr old, and my daughter just turned 2. This stroller is very wide and moves smoothly. We went back to get another Maclaren for our other car. She picked out the "pink buggy" so we had to get the magenta color. This time, we compared between different strollers in the store. The chico for $50 moved almost as smoothly, but wasn't as wide in the seat area. Then we looked at another Chico that the guy in the store told us was the best one there. While I can't comment on that because my daughter wouldnt go near it, it only held up to 37 pounds while the Maclaren goes up to 55. Normally I'm not one to buy into brand names or strollers because they are from Europe, but there is a reason this thing gets 5 stars. You will be no where near disappointed with this.

Even better than I thought
I live outside Philadelphia and I often take public transportation, so when I started looking for a stroller for my 9-month-old son, what was almost my first consideration was how heavy it was. Plenty of strollers say that they are lightweight, or umbrella strollers, but if you actually have the product specs with the weight listed or even actually picked the stroller up, you know that manufacturers' definition of "lightweight" varies widely. The Volo, by contrast, is very lightweight (about 8 lbs--almost the lightest I've seen), so that appealed to me right away. Then I went to BRU to look at strollers in person. I didn't find the Volo immediately, and nearly bought the Kolcraft Tour Sport, which seemed decent enough. But then I found the Volo, and was impressed even more than after I read the product description online. For example, one thing that was not clear at all in the online product description is that, unlike every other umbrella stroller I looked at, the Volo folds up and snaps together automatically with a one-handed push (the others require both hands to push the two sides together manually, and on some strollers this can be very difficult). This is useful if you're trying to hold onto your child and get ready to get on the train/trolley/bus/subway at the same time. Also, the padded handles are easy on the hands and make the stroller seem stronger. In addition, I am somewhat tall (5' 9"), and my feet did not kick the back even once, not even when walking quickly (and I walk quickly). There are other things I like about this, but these are the more obvious things, like how easy it is to open, the carrying strap, etc. What are my complaints? Well, the harness even when pulled in all the way is still loose in the shoulder area on my son, and the lap belt is VERY hard to release (hard to pinch it to release and open it); hopefully this will loosen up with use. Also, I wish there was some way to stand the stroller on end (so I don't have to lay it down on the ground when waiting for the train). But otherwise, the positive features of this product far outweigh the negatives in my opinion. Well worth the money (by the way, I suggest spending the extra money and buying the 2005 version, as the 2004 doesn't come with the canopy).

Highly recommend it!
Recommended for the angle which has the back wheels farther away from the walker so that taller parents don't kick the wheels like you do with cheaper strollers. I'm 5'8" and it's very comfortable to use. Simple, streamlined, easy because it's so compact, and sleek in "basic black & grey". Folds up very small (not just wide and flat but narrow and flat because no hard cross bars) so fits easily in trunk or back seat. Has shoulder carry strap which is nice when I walk the 5 blocks between office and day care, but designed so it's not in the way when not in use. Easy to open & close one handed once you get the hang of it. Have used with my son from age 1 to 2-1/2 and still keep it in the car just in case. Was even able to put my travel car seat in it while going through the airport which made solo travel easier (not designed for this and had to hold back to prevent tipping. Only negative was that one side of the sun visor/cover continually came unattached and had to resecure most times I unfolded it. Maybe a fluke on mine but very annoying. Overall loved this and wouldn't bother with anything bulkier.
