Customer Reviews of Love and Luck
Great Country Music This is not commercial radio music. It is much better than that. The instrumental work on this CD is fabulous. The Mandolin playing is some of the best in the business. Kiss Me I'm Gone is a great song - it has catchy phrasing and a great tune. One of the best songs on this record is "Oh, What a Silent Night". The lyrics and phrasing are great and the music is very unique. Marty's vocals are wonderful also. This is a great dance record. If you like to swing and two step you can put this record on and go at it. Marty is often over-looked and under appreciated in Nashville. That is because of the pop-sounding, watered down country music they play on radio today. If you love real country music buy this record.
Not that bad, well not that good either.
Marty just couldn't top "This One's Gonna Hurt You." This cd wouldn't have been so bad if "This One's Gonna" wasn't so good. He uses the same formula on this cd as his others. Unfortunalty this sounds like leftovers from all his other Cd's. But it isn't as bad as some would like you to think.
THIS IS WHERE I STOPPED BUYING MARTY STUART'S ALBUMS!
IN THE BEGINNING............I thought Marty Stuart was going to be one of the few young keepers of the traditional flame. After all, that's what he preached and mostly performed. However, things didn't turn out that way. I guess the almighty buck won-out over the real love for traditional country. I'm being generous, rating it as one star. This album is the pits!!!!!!!!!!
