Its Cool and all but ... Before I go any further ... BIG UPS to 1 Up Records and Dash BLVD (972 877 3215) ... Holla at the boy ...
Now ... the album ... A Love Story by Vivian Green, Vivian Green has an amazing voice and she sound so beautiful ... so so beautiful however, its an ALRIGHT album ... there wasn't anything on the album that really had me vibe'n or able to ride out on the CD like i'd expected. The only song that really held any weight on the album was Emotional Rollercoster ... that ONE song is the highlight of the album ... its a real deep song and almost er'body can relate to the things she are saying ... as far as the rest of the album, there are a few "good" or "OK" songs such as ... Keep On Going On and Be Good To You ... and another good song would be 24 Hour Blue ... those 4 songs are the album good moments .. the other songs need a lil bit more don't to them (maybe a new beat and a remix or something) ... the album also lack strength and the ability to keep your attention ... Trust me ... the only song that is really worth the album is Emotional Rollercoster ... this song lets you know that she has potential to go a long way but, its her song selection or production isn't there or something ... but, you may be able to find a few more joints but .. not many ... its a good 2 week album ... after that ... you'll shelf this and burn a few songs to a mix CD and call it a day ...

A Strong Debut
I bought this CD when I heard Emotional Rollercoaster playing on the promo for some TV show. The song really stood out and I went out and bought the CD. I was a little worried that would be the only good song on the album. Turns out I was wrong! This CD is very personal and very good. It's a very relaxing CD, but that doesn't make it boring. Her voice is very unique and simple. She doesn't oversing on any of the songs. The sequencing of the songs is also very good. All the songs flow well together and you can tell she really feels the songs. Off the top of my head, the standout songs are Emotional Rollercoaster, What is Love, Affected, No Sitting By the Phone, and Fanatic. All the songs are good, though. It's a shame this album wasn't more popular. If anyone deserves mainstream success, it's Vivian Green.
Enjoyable Listen
I really enjoyed listening to this album the first time around! Usually it takes a while for music to grow on me. I particularly liked her lyrics even though sometimes they were a little different from the average love song. Her songs are so relatable. Buy it! You'll be happy, I know I am! I'm looking forward to her new CD.
