Absolutely Fabulous!!!!!!
"Los Ojos" is one of my favorite albums from the jewel of Argentine Rock, Luis Alberto Spinetta. For those that aren't familiar with his work, his music spans over 30 years with his earlier stuff going from pop to hard rock to jazz fusion to alternative. His work is ever changing and versatile like my other favorite artist Todd Rundgren. Check out his other solo recordings and stuff with his bands Almendra, Pescado Rabioso, Spinetta Jade & El Socios del Desierto. You won't regret it.
Anyway, this album has an adult contemporary feel with wonderful melodies and a great flow from beginning to end. My favorite tracks are "Ave Seca", "Bahia Final" and "Extiendete una Vez Mas". My absolute fave is "Ven Veni", worth the price of the CD alone! After previewing the songs on Napster, I had to get my own copy from an Argentine music website. Kudos to Amazon.com for putting Spinetta in their catalog and making it easy for American fans to get his CD's from a domestic distributor.
