Customer Reviews of Live Aus Berlin
good......but the lyrics are strange I recently bought Live Aus Berlin,my first album by Rammstein. The music is very good even though it is in German but i did the translasions of the song titles, some are pretty strange. An example is "Spiel Mit Mir" when i translated it ment,Play With Me. Also Rammstein means "Ram It" I think you get what i mean. Im not saying dont buy it,it is worth the $13 but,the songs are about some weird stuff.I dont really care because i cant speak German, but i would hate to find out what the words mean.If you like Metal/Techno and dont care that its in German than i strongly recommend this CD for you. If your not, better go try something else.
Rammstein unleashes their rage in Berlin!!!
These Berlin natives were welcomed home by a pumped up croud
at the "Parkbuhne Wuhlheide" on the 22 and 23rd of August 1998.
What a remarkable concert it was. As I listened to it, it made me realize how astonishing and great the band sound Live. After I listened to "Wilder Wein" (Wild Wein), I fellin a deep trance listing to the beautiful keyboard talents of Flake Lorenz, not to mention the acoustic guitars, beautifully played, and the on going "Ich warte auf dich, am ende der nacht" sung by the deranged Till Lindemann. "Engel" was sung as good as the non-live version with Bobo's one and only voice making it a great LIVE addition to the cd, plus the croud singing along made it one of a kind. "Du Hast",sounding as pulse grinding as ever, made a great live track. If you really love Rammstein, or just getting introduced, LIVE AUS BERLIN is the CD to get a hold of and listen to it over and over. Rammstein is not only the best teutonic, head banging, pulse grinding,METAL band out their but they crush other bands by playing LIVE. Not only is this a great CD, but LIVE AUS BERLIN is great on VHS, or DVD. You get the honor to see the pyro-insanity of Till Lindemann in flames in "Rammstein", see Bobo in a flaming cage in "Engel", hear "Tier" (not recorded on the live cd along with "Klavier")
and see Richards daughter Khira Li Lindemann lookin down upon the crazed croud, and the funny as ever, "Bueck dich" on (VHS, but not DVD) having it's one of a kind 'EXPLICIT CONTENT". (You'll just have to see it for yourself!). Get the CD and Vhs, and or DVD. Best music listening experience of your life. I promise!
ICH WAR DORT!
"Ich war dort" means I was there and it was the most amazing thing in my life to see those 6 musicians play. I was in the front row and I can tell you that the energy of the crowd is perfectly placed into the album. This is a helpful list of the best songs and why.
Spiel Mit Mir- I usually skip over but it's still good.
Bestrafe Mich- Not only do I love the name of the song but Till's deep voice really comes out in this.
Weißes Fleisch- This was the song considered by many to be Nazi because it's translated to "White Flesh"...SHUT UP! Rammstein is everything but Nazi, the song's just about Sex but it's definetly one of the best.
Sehnsucht- Lyrics ae odd but the riff is wicked.
Asche Zu Asche- Very good fast-paced beat.
Wilder Wein- DIES IST SO, SO GUT. A slow song on the album made the concert twice as magical.
Heirate Mich- Always one of my favorites and I loved the part when they let the crowd sing the main chorus.
Du riechst so gut- The introduction was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Bottle rockets shooting in the air precisely when the music started.
Du Hast- probably the only song people outside of Germany, know of Rammstein. Classic but I didn't like the live version as much as the Sehnsucht one.
Bück dich- This is the best song on the album for a few reasons. I'm a pervert and Bück dich means Bend down(I'm German ;)and also the riff can not be matched. The sound was so loud and fast it felt like an orgy towards the end.
Engel- I love the singing of Bobo and like Wilder Wein, nice slow one.
Rammstein- The only neat thing about this song is that Till lights himself on fire:)
Laichzeit- Weird song but mostly for the lyrics.
Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?- It's alright.
Seemann- The perfect way to end an amazing night.
