Customer Reviews of Little Suzy's Zoo Prepasted Border
Tips from a pro !!! After reading the reviews Of other peoples experances hanging wallpaper border I had to write one of my own. I hope somone gets some thing out of this. First off pre pasted wall paper almost never works the way it is supposed, the first thing you need to do is to soak your border in warm water for at least 5 min. Most profesionals will mix about 1 cup of clear strippable wall paper adhesive per 1 gal of water It gives you the extra bite you need. Second thing is you can hang it with just one person. You dont need to cut it in short lengiths, all you have to do is to fold it like an accordian in about 2 ft lengenths.Start by folding it backwards from the direction you will be hanging are when you fold it you always want to to fold it so the the glued sides are together be neat about folding it it will make it go much easier. The reasion being the edges will not dry out and cause you to have to get it wet again. Never hard crease the folds after you have folded it into an accordian, but try to keep it so the as little air as possible can get in the folds. Third thing is to get you a hand full of thunb tacks hold it up to the ceiling line and pull the first fold out so the gule is exposed ,line it up and ues the thumb tacks to hold the the folded bundel. Get down move your ladder and just continue around the room. Always use a plastic wall paper trowel and not a metal putty knife. That way you wont rip the paper boarder. After your done hanging a section take clean water and a sponge and wipe off the the leftover glue and then dry off with a clean towel
Terrible instructions!! 2 person job!
DO NOT DO THIS ALONE!! DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!!
My husband and I had a hard time putting this border up. Here are some helpful tips:
1. Cut out the desired length per wall. Do not try and work with the whole 5 yards at one time! Allow a little bit to over lap with the next piece.
2. USE A SPRAY BOTTLE! We first tried the "soaking for 10 seconds", but found that parts of the paper had not been wet which caused a problem. So, spray the first 12 inches, align on wall, and continue working from there, little by little.
3. Have a sponge ready to flatten out paper, and soak up any excess water that may drip. Concentrate on the edges while flattening.
4. Have wall paper glue handy for the edges that tend not to stick.
Hope you have an easier time putting this up! Once completed, it is VERY cute!
Adorable Border if you use a wallpaper glue to apply
My husband and I purchased this border for our baby's room and we didn't use the instructions at all. They instructions say to dip it in water. My husband decided that it would be easier to put it on with wall paper glue that was water soluable. It looks beautiful and came out great!
