Albia is the wondrous place where the Norns live. They're peaceful, lovable, intelligent, and inquiring creatures, always enthusiastic about discovering and exploring their surroundings. They will encounter many unfamiliar things that can be entertaining but dangerous. In an unfortunate moment, they might meet the evil Grendels, who are great threats to them. Furthermore, they'll have to find out, for example, that some kinds of mushrooms can be toxic. It's your job to guide the Norns responsibly and show them good from bad so they will be better able to cope with their environment. The Norns' attributes and characteristics are handed down from generation to generation, letting you raise ever more intelligent and curious Norns.

Customer Reviews of LeapFrog My First LeapPad Replacement Pen "Lily" Leap Frog
My first computer game, come to GBA! When I was younger, my dad only got our family a Windows 3.1 computer, when windows 95 was the most popular PC around. When I went to Comp USA to get games, that limited my choice a lot. I only found 2 games that i coulkd use, one of which was Creatures. Even at the age of 7, i loved the game. It was a simple idea pulled off perfectly. In fact, 8 years later, I am playing not only Creatures, but creatures 2 and 3. It was almost like Tomagotchi, but years before. Don't let that fact scare you away from the game. it is also much more deep then that. Your Norns (the Ceatures you raise) not only grow, but can get sick, play, eat, drink, and most importantly, speak and mate. Imagine my little eyes when I frist said "Mark get food", and watched my little creature walk past the toy, past the drink and get the carrot. The truly intreaging part is the fact that they don't always listen to you. they are like young children. Just because you tell them, dosn't mean they'll listen. And Creatures actually have virtual DNA. If you have a male and a female mate, the child actually looks like the parents. And you can have many Norns in the world, so you can have a whole community of them at once. And there are dangers in the world as well. There is the Grendle (as in the monster from Baowolf) and poisoness plants. And you will be kept very busy, because not only do your creatures not only listen to you, they can really think and eat something bad if their hungry (it is VERY hard to teach them the difference between good and bad food). I once got a Norn who was my 30th generation. it was very long and hard, but the evolution was very noticeable. Although the life span for a Norn is only less then 10 hours, even getting a 5th generation is a complicated quest. But the evolution is easy to see.
