This is awesome My son (4 1/2 years) loves this game and learns addition while he's at it. Its rewarding tones when he gets the right answers encourge him to learn and get them right. Some sort of control for difficulty level would have been nice. Right now, its hard for him to figure out whether the problems he should be attempting are the right ones for his level.
Not What I Had Hoped For
I bought this for my 5 yr old son who will be entering kindergarten this fall. I really think he does better counting on his fingers! Some of the games are hard for him to get started on his own. I need to sit and help him along which is fine most of the time, but I thought this would be something we could take on vacation and he could do on his own during the long car ride. That's probably not going to happen. Although, for the price I would give it 4 stars. Maybe it's his disinterest I'm disappointed with!
Great beast
My 2 year old has struggled with the concept of addition ever since his exodus from the womb. Leapfrog seems to be one of the few companies in corporate America that cares as their cutting edge product the Twist & Shout has worked miracles for my child. The random quizzes and raucous electronic voice both work to subdue my child into hours of learning, laughs and all around good times. He'll one day be telling the tale of this product to his grandchildren, with a broad smile across his then wrinkled face, fondly recalling what toys were like "back in the day".
