Wise choice
I started cooking about 7 yrs back when I moved to out of home and out of the country. I started off with nonstick (since I was told is easier to clean), then moved on to stainless steel in an attempt to inprove the quality of the meal and now have almost completely switched over to cast iron cookware. <

>Cleaning is quite easy if you follow the instructions. Since we got the wok, we are using les and less of the other cookware and am using the wok much more than I had initially anticipated. Of course, by now, about 3 weeks of owning the wok, it has developed a very good patina, and I am amazed how pretty much nothing sticks on the wok. The time whan it sticks, is if by mistake someone scrubs it with detergent. Then redeveloping the patina takes some time. <

Wonderful Wok
I am new to Chinese cooking, but figured a top notch wok would be good in any kitchen. This is great to use, it heats very fast and evenly, and properly seasoned (which was easy), it does not stick. It is the perfect size for stir frying. It does not need a wok-ring. I use it on an electric stove and it is marvelous. I love this wok! This wok is expensive, but at least for a beginner in Chinese cuisine, this does everything it is supposed to, quickly and easily. I imagine it is a dream come true for a more experienced wok cook. You are buying ease of use and quality here. It is very heavy. If you have weak arms or cannot lift a very heavy pan, do not buy this. It is cast iron as advertised.

Best Wok Out There!
I just bought this wok, and I can't believe how great it is. The heat distribution is excellent and cleaning is a breeze. I have used two other woks, both with non-stick surfaces, and they both took at least five minutes to scrub clean. With the Le Creuset wok I was just able to wipe the wok and it was clean. Another advantage this wok has over non-stick coated woks is that it doesn't wear out. My last non-stick wok only lasted 6 months using it about once a week. I think this wok will last forever. Highly recommended!
