Customer Reviews of Kolobos
R.I.P. Off City It's been a while since I felt compelled to write a review for a movie, but this one certainly takes the cake. I noticed only one other reviewer seemed to be aware of the fact that this low budget effort is more or less a directly blatant rip off of Dario Argento's much, much better Suspiria, and that is precisely where most of the problems with this cinematic dogpile begin. <
>Aside from being rife with some of the most gratingly amature "acting," the movie itself, production wise, is really nothing special. Oh, sure.... lot's of senseless gore, loud music, and psychedelic lighting, but this has all been done before and much better the first time around. The cinematography and editing looks grainy, cheap and rushed, and the script distinctly feels as if it was written during a drug binging weekend by someone who has nothing better to do other than rip off the works of other, more talented filmmakers than themselves. <
>When indie/ low budget filmmakers can no longer be original and come up with their own truly UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL ideas, these are the kinds of movies we as the paying audience are forced to suffer through. Not as bad as some low budget horror flicks I've seen, but then again, not very good either. Stick with Argento's Suspiria and Inferno instead. You'll be glad you did.
Scream fans move aside, time for a REAL slasher flick
This movie did what most horror films fail to do: it seriously creeped me out. I hear a lot of complaints about Kolobos being a low budget b-rated slasher film with horrible acting and it is, however, I didn't feel that that took away from any of the suspense, action, or horror that it elicits. Kolobos offers up a dish full of psychological terror, gore, creative ways of killing off the characters, plenty of squeamish scenes, and an unexpected ending.

>Recommended to real fans of horror.
awful
I agree with the reviewer who advised not to rent or buy this movie. I bought a used copy because I liked the art design on the box. The acting is okay -- esp. for a low budget film, but the script [is bad]. The movie seems to be a rip-off of countless other films. And the victims being trapped in the house with a killer is so cliche! There isn't even any T & A to make it half-way appealing!
Don't rent or buy this -- you've been warned!!!
