Great receiving blankets. These blankets are very soft and wash well. No shrinking. They are thinner than the Carters receiving blankets but they are still great. They are lighter weight so it's nice to cover baby's car seat with them when you don't want people touching him or her. They are great in the summer when you just need something light in the air conditioning.
The BEST receiving blankets
I received a ton of receiving blankets when I had my son, Isaiah. These are by far my favorite. They are a tad bigger than any of the other ones (even if the package says they are the same dimensions, trust me, they are not). I was never good at swaddling my son until I used these. They worked so well that I swaddled until he was about 6 months old! Now, my son is 16 months old, and he has to have a blanket, "B", to snuggle when he sleeps. These are his favorite too! Nothing can take the place of these blankets. We take one with us everywhere we go. I think he likes them because they are not thick and they are very soft. I have washed these blankets over and over and they are still holding up perfectly. I recommend these particular blankets to all my friends who have babies....and I usually buy these for them as part of their shower gift. I think you'll really be pleased with them. I know I have.
Good value
I bought these receiving blankets when my son was first born back in November. I used them to swaddle him for almost a month. These blankets are very good size. After the first month, I cannot swaddle him anymore because he's an "escape artist" who always manage to get one of his arm or leg out side of the blankets. The blankets held up well after washes. Now the weather are getting warmer. I'm using them as light blankets for warm nights. They are excellent. Definitely worth the money.
