Just returned this unit!
I used to work in a pastry shop, and so I am familiar with stand mixers and their capabilities. So, I finally invested in my own home version of the stand mixer, and picked the KitchenAid professional stand mixer (450 watts). <

>This thing ways a ton, so expect to leave it on your countertop instead of moving it into the cupboard out of sight. <
>Then you will lean behind your mixer, to find the controls placed all the way to the very back of the mixer? Huh??? The only way I can do that is to move the sucker all the way to the edge and then awkwardly peek around. <
>The way the bowl sits on the mixer is mickey-mouse to me. Basically two pins, and you place the bowl's holes on top. No locking or stabilizing force. <
>Finally, the paddle just did not clear the bowl, no matter what I did. I even adjusted it with the screw 1/4 turn (as suggested in the manual), but to no avail. Grinding metal the whole time. <

>The engineer who designed this thing should be fired. There has to be a better mixer out there. Don't waste your money!
