Customer Reviews of Kingdom of Heaven (4-Disc Director's Cut)
Not again, please I apologize for rating a set that I haven't watch. I am sure it deserves 5 stars. I bought the first Kingdom of Heaven. My 1 star rate is a form of protest. I am holding a lot of purchases waiting for the special editions. This is business and I understand they try to sell me almost the same product 2 or 3 times, but I would be happy if they could launch always both versions together. Or at least advise a Director's cut or a SE is coming. May be there is a web page I am missing. I am sorry but I am NOT buying this set. I will wait for the HD DVD or Blu Ray version. You guys better hurry up with the high definition thing because I am cutting my dvd purchases right now.
Very excited about this...
To the person who accused Digital Bits and IGN of posting fake reviews... the director's cut was shown in LA at two different theatres over the last few months. These two sites are not alone in their praise... a number of reviewers have made similar comments about the director's cut. And it really is a shame.

>I for one am excited about this. I read the original script, and there's a ton of great stuff that misses the theatrical stuff and really undermines the story. It was a real shame, because it could have been an oscar worthy epic.

They have a review of this version at IGN.com
Go under DVD, then previews, and find Kingdom of Heaven. They say this version blows away the original and would have won some awards if the studio didn't force Ridley Scott to cut the film. Check out that advanced screening review for yourselves. I am glad I held off buying the other DVD version.
