Great for a fussy baby The vibrations are soothing for a fussy baby. In the beginning this chair was the only thing that kept our child calm and quiet. We've been using the bouncer since our daughter was a newborn. The music and lights entertain the baby. It has two settings for volume, high and low. The toy bar is detachable. Now that my daughter is a little older, she loves the cause and effect of the kick and play bouncer and I love that it teaches her she can control the music and lights! She kicks to make the lights and music turn on, gets excited about that, and bounces in the chair. The toy bar seems a bit far for her to reach (and maybe it was meant to be that way) but she loves looking at them. The mirror and the two detachable teething rings on the toy bar are handy too. A padded waist restraint tops it off. The portable travel size Fisher Price swing is the only item I like just as much if not more than this one.
My Son Loves This!
We registered for and received this item as a shower gift. I'm so glad we did. Although my son was disinterested in it his early weeks, he can't get enough of it now! He occasionally protests when you try and take him out! He loves to watch the lights and hear the music. Even at 2 ½ months he learned that he had to kick the foot pads to activate it and he enjoys that setting more than the constant light and music show one.
The bouncer also has a vibrating feature. My son didn't like that much, but that's not to say another baby won't. The chair is reclined just right, no slumping, and its cover comes right off if your baby has an accident. It removes easily and washes nicely. But remember to air dry it so it doesn't lose its shape.
The toys hanging from the removable bar are great too. He loves to look at himself in the mirror and likes to hit the toys hard enough they bang each other and make a loud noise. He will also kick them with his feet.
I would highly recommend this item. It has kept my baby entertained and given both my husband and I some time to relax or do chores. Plus, I like to watch my baby get excited and squeal while he plays. Awesome bouncer!
Great product!
I love this bouncer! Although everyone said my son would love his swing, he is much happier in this bouncer! It is the only place I can put him down while he's awake where he won't cry. It can also put him to sleep in minutes. He is only 5 weeks old and his size isn't a problem. I am considering buying a second one to keep at the grandparents!
