Customer Reviews of Juan Valdez JVPM1W Pod Coffee Brewing System with Iced Tea Spout, White
Better experience than others I have not had as hard a time using this machine as some of the other folks on here. The pod size that it accepts is smaller than normal and to eliminate the spilling I simply made sure that the pod didn't overlap the rubber seal when it closed. I can use any size pod I need in it. I have to admit it is annoying to get the right sized amount of water to come out but I have found the two small cups from this makes one normal mug. It was free from Target w/ purchase of the pods... I can't complain.
Not perfect, but not so bad either
Other reviewers seem to have two main complaints -- noise, and spilled water/coffee. While it is a bit loud while brewing, it brews so quickly that I can't complain about it.

>As for spilled water - I too had this problem about half the time I used it. But, what I discovered is that it only spills when you have any part of the filter pod between the metal brew basket and the silicone seal in the top. So, if you're using JV or Melitta pods, try flipping the pod over so that the flash around the edge of the pod doesn't extend past the metal. Other brands of pods are just too big, so you have to tuck the paper underneath. I haven't had a single spill since I started taking extra care positioning the pod into the basket.

>You can even make your own pods by folding ground coffee into a standard 4-cup basket filters -- just have to be careful of extra paper to avoid spills.
Not even for free.
I am giving it one star because there is no way to give it a zero. Water always spews out the side with some coffee in it so there is a mess and stains. You always have to clean after it.

>Can't wait to finish up its coffee so I can get read of it.

>I got it free with some coffee purchase. I will not have done it again.
