Absolutely Amazing
This is a fabulous live concert performance. The video quality is exceptional, the audio is in magnificent 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound, the song selection is terrific and the performance is flawless. Thankfully the DVD contains all the songs from the CD version of the same concert and some extras as well. It is unlikely you'll soon see (closeup) unimaginably complex guitar playing of this magnitude. Joe's hands are national treasures (for God's sake Joe, hire someone to wash the dishes). If you enjoy rock guitar, buy this DVD. It doesn't get any better than this. Joe graciously pays tribute to Hendrix in the DVD's backstage segment. Jimi was a master for his time and took rock guitar to another level - inspiring modern masters like Satriani and Vai. Even Hendrix would be amazed how far the bar has been raised since his untimely death. Note: One negative side effect of viewing this DVD, if you play guitar you may find your instrument sorely neglected for a time. Don't be concerned, this is a natural consequence of watching Satriani play the impossible so effortlessly.

Oh yeah, Satriani kicks ... again.
This DVD is really really good. It's a double DVD with 25 songs in total. Here you can see how the man plays and if you've wondered how fast he is on the records, now you can see him play. You won't believe your eyes. I've been a fan myself for the past 3 years, own ALL the CDs and the other G3 DVD, and must say that I was like "WOW" when I saw this. My jaw dropped when I saw Joe performing on these songs. Super fast, great setup, beautiful Satriani sound, nice graphic and surroundings. Not a single complaint about this. Also, you can view 3 songs in different angles, which is pretty cool. Another nice thing the DVD has, it's the backstage footage, where Joe shows us some of his stuff, the setup he uses, and talks a little about his influence - Hendrix. The quality of the video, the audio, graphics, & song selection are perfect. Even though I'd like to have heard other songs, but that is still ok. Buy it now and start enjoying hours of Satriani...you won't be dissapointed. Also, the double CD titled "Live in SF 2001" which compliments with this DVD.

** VERY MONOTONOUS SOUND , ALL THE SONGS SOUND THE SAME ,WITH NO VARIATION.
** THE STAGE IS SMALL AND WEAK ,WHILE YOU EXPECT A MUCH FULLER STAGE AND SHOW.
** VERY UNINSPIRING.
** EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED *****
