Customer Reviews of Jetsons Millions
The famous animated space-age family finally gets a break! I'm a huge fan of 'The Jetsons' and I was looking forward to watching this video having never heard of it before. I was disappointed to discover that it is a show from the eighties revival of the animated 60's classic. I really didn't care for any of the episodes that were made during this period which are easily distinguishable from the 60's classics - the character of Orbitty is an immediate tip-off that you're watching an eighties version. The episodes made in the 80's lack the funny slapstick like routines that were so preeminent in the original series, the humor is very forced in the new episodes; also Astro was a lot livelier and more 'talkative' in the 60's than in the 80's.
All that being said 'Jetsons Millions' is a very good idea for an episode. George wins the Venusian lottery and as luck would have it his bombastic and boorish boss Mr. Spacely desperately needs an investor. Will George save his boss and his company from foreclosure? Will tons of money go to George's and his family's head? Will the Jetsons become the galaxy's richest and beneficent space-age family? All these questions and more are answered here. For the most part it's an enjoyable episode and the only thing I have trouble with here is that most of the humor just falls flat. The ending is a bit predictable too though anyone who's ever watched an episode of 'The Jetsons' has to know that George is just a hard luck case. Kids should love it but adults who were weaned on the classic original series will most likely experience a bit of a letdown.
Jetsons' Millions review
George Jetson enters the Manuchan lottery, he was the actual winner, mean old bratty Cosmo Spacely, makes George Jetson stay home forever, and he was teasing about, then George becomes a millionare and gets a lot vanuties, that is 10 million dollars, and a vanuty is only 75 cents! I give it five stars.
