Customer Reviews of Jem: Music Awards
A Very Worthy and Entertaining Two Part Episode Jem "The Music Awards" was a two part episode that ran during one of the shows earlier season, initially I would have called it season 1 but with the DVD episode list I am assuming it's season 2. This episode was one of the episodes that really was involved in the whole social services aspects of Jem and the Holograms. The Starlight Girls are starting school. The episode begins with Jerrica taking the girls back to school shopping. One of the Starlight girls with blond hair wants to play guitar and has musical aspirations but she feels slighted by Jerrica and Jem's busy schedule. She decides to run away and Krissy and Banee decide to tag along. The girls are on the go and a social worker is hot on the case and he threatens to take all of the foster girls away from Jerrica Benton if the girls are not back within a certain time frame. On top of all of that the big Music Video Awards are coming up. Jem accidently schedules a performance for a new character Danse but realizes its the same date as the awards show. This is a very entertaining two part episode. Some of the songs included are "She Makes an Impression," "Running Like The Wind," and "I am a Giant." The third episode on the tape is "The Rock Fashion Book." All of these episodes are not available on DVD but if you can get a hold of the VHS it can make for quality afternooon entertainment for a young child who you might not want handling your precious Jem DVD.
