Customer Reviews of Jackson Browne: Going Home
An Absolute Must For All Jackson Browne Fans! This video captures the essence of JB's songwritings and life. Not only is the music great, but it the way this video was put together is superb.
It chronologically takes you from his beginnings in New York playing in a band with Nico from the Velvet Underground, to his 1994's "I'm Alive" album. Some of the live sessions are as good as or better than some of his recorded ones.
I have been a Jackson Browne fan for 25 years, and his music is still as fresh and new everytime view and listen to it
Absolutely you have to have this
This video is an excellent opportunity to listen to some great music, from a man who continues to entertain and challenge us almost 30 years after he released his first albumn.
The video gives us an insight into the person and the music and also the friendships that have endured throughout to create some of the finest music that will continue to be there for us for as long as we want to hear it. Jackson Browne is so talented but above all, understands the human spirit and constantly challenges all of us and those around him, to be aware of our role in the world and to grab it with everything we have ! Anyone who "gets it" will love this video.
Anyone into great music, should get this and discover Jackson Browne.
Well worth the price of admission
Have long been a fan of Jackson Browne and David Lindley, the 22 "other" cuts and (over edited) selections are simply a bonus to the prelude by Don Henley and Jackson telling the story of the writing of "Take It Easy" and the duet in an apparent motel or meeting room (with the left over potato salad on the table. That single video alone, to me, made this purchase well worth the "price of admission".
