Customer Reviews of Jack of All Trades - The Complete Series
It May Not Be Accurate, But It Is Fun This is a must for any Bruce Campbell fan and it is the series that got me hooked on him. It is not historically accurate by any means, but it is not meant to be. I have probably watched this at least 50 times and it is one of the few series that I go back to when I need laugh. I just wish the series would have lasted more than one season as it was really really good
If you like Bruce Campbell, this is a must own
Any Bruce Campbell fans absolutely have to have this in their collection. This show ran for a couple years around 2000-2001, and was hilarious. It ran back to back with another show called Cleopatra 2525. The show is about Jack, who is an early 1800's American secret agent, sent to a French controlled island colony. It contains a lot of the cheesy one-liner type of humor that everyone knows and loves from Campbell. It's sort of like Zorro meets Ash (from Army of Darkness). Oh, and also there's a really hot chick in it too, which doesn't hurt. If you've never seen this show before and you like this sort of campy stuff (which I do) then you will absolutely love this short lived TV series.
Brilliantly goofy
There's absolutely nothing accurate about this series. It's defininetly not accurate historically, socially, technologically, and I think the geography is suspect. I love this series though. It's brilliantly goofy. Bruce Campbell's sarcastic wit shines in this escapist fare. I give it four stars and would recommend it to anyone who wanted a witty, funny, and occasionally, silly show to watch. Enjoy.
