Customer Reviews of JENSEN CM-7015K AM/FM/Cassette with CD Player and Flip Down Detachable Face
Problem Solver It took me about fifteen minutes of fiddling with the stock cassette player that came in my Jeep Wrangler to figure out that it just was not going to do. No place to hook in a CD player, no auxiliary input, and pretty mediocre sound. Then it took me another 15 minutes to realize that the din-and-a-half opening made most reasonable electronic options useless. Just not enough room for anything really cool.
The final 15 minutes was spent staring at catalogs for the right player. CD was necessary, cassette was a nice to have, and it must have a way for me to hook up my iPod. Wranglers are a bit of a test for most players, so I needed a good volume range with a lot of presence. Inexpensive was also a nice to have. Hence my final selection of the Jensen 7015K.
The good things are as I've listed so far (see below as well). Sound is quite clear and solid. Soon, I will put in a small sub-woofer to flesh out the sound, and the Jenson proved itself quite capable of managing this with a minimum of fuss. The CD player was quite stable under the duress of the stiff wrangler ride, and the auxiliary input handled the iPod without a blink. Al of this, and it doesn't stress the pocketbook at all.
Not so good things - The manual is hard to follow. No ability to play MP3 discs. Very busy front panel. You can't have a tape and a CD in place at the same time. None of these are showstoppers, though. If you are a practical music lover with only 1,5 DIN in which to do everything this could be just what you are looking for. It certainly works for me.
