'International Socialist Review' a must read for people who consider themselves left wing!
I have a subscription of the International Socialist Review and it is excellent to see every two months, I am able to read something that is not praising the Democrats or the two party system. In each issue, the journal takes on issues that occurred in the previous two months with an interesting in-depth analysis. In the corporate media, we are bogged down with how people are supposedly so happy with capitalism, but this journal shows the other side of the working class that is hardly ever shown within mainstream 'journalism.' This journal shows how Working Class people are the ones being sent to die for imperialistic wars and continue to receive the short end of the stick on numerous issues. <

>The journal assesses the main issues out there with a true Marxist-Leninist-Trotskyist view on class, race, gender, and sexuality. Also, the journal not only covers issues of the moment, but also does a wonderful job of giving a better, more accurate picture of great historical moments rather than the half-truths or flat out lies presented by the ruling class. This journal not only just focuses on movements of the past & present and what is going on currently in politics, but also gives excellent views on Marxist politics rather than the screwed view of Stalinism that some associate wrongly with Marx. Another great thing about the 'International Socialist Review' is some left-wing journals would not print criticisms of whatever may have been in an issue of their magazine/journal, but this journal does, responds well, and is even willing to apologize when wrong. <

Also, an excellent supplement to the `International Socialist Review' would be the weekly newspaper `Socialist Worker' as it gives an wonderful view on how imperialistic policies affects & effects the Working Class.

The Best Journal for the Left
The International Socialist Review is simply the best source of history, news, and theory for the left today. While most of the left accepts the defeatist logic of the Democratic party, the ISR takes a principled stand for the international working class. In addition to resisting the oppurtunism that is characterizing so much of the contemporary left, the ISR remains committed to presenting a cogent Marxist understanding of world events. Using Marx's methodology, the ISR is able to effectively demystify and lay bare so many of the contradictions at the heart of ruling class policy. I can think of no better advice to those fighting oppression than to read the ISR.
