InterScan AppletTrap eliminates malicious mobile code. Mobile code and active content abound today at Web sites. JavaScript and Visual Basic Script enable web developers with little programming experience to create interesting, interactive web pages that can, for example, remember users' preferences. Other Web sites extend the power of active content further by downloading small executable programs, Java applets, or ActiveX controls onto visitors' computers. Downloaded executable content can also run through the Internet in tandem with companion programs on Web servers, allowing visiting computers to draw upon servers' information resources to complete tasks.
