Waste of money
Detto advertises this product to move data between an old computer and a new one. In truth, it does move files. However, it does not move all of your data files and it does not move your settings. Despite the product package claim of moving netscape, microsoft office, and Norton data, it does an incomplete job. All of these programs lost settings and files during the process. Numerous essential configuration files were not transferred, interferring with normal operation. <

>While it is supposed to work with either ethernet, serial, or USB, the software was unable to detect machines on a single router, forcing me to use the USB bridge route, which took four hours. <

A big NO - GO .. total BOMB
Simple transfer .. R51 Thinkpad to R60 .. followed Intellimover protocol completely .. 2 hours after making connection .. the transfer time is 4,607 hours for 5GB of data .. no thank you. I manually transferred all the date in about 3 1 /2 hours .. <

>Also Intellimover does NOT transfer .exe files, i.e. you have to install all the programs on the new computer. And the initial advertising is misleading .. Ethernet cable not included in box. <

UNBELIEVABLE
After looking around and visiting different computer stores I ordered Intellimover from Amazon to get my old computer onto a new one. <
>This product worked GREAT!!!! <
>The manual walked me through the installation and within 2 hours everything was transferred. (Emails and all attachments, word, excel, pictures, videos, autocad, outlook information, absolutely everything I wanted.) <
>I am back up and running on the new computer as if my old computer never had any problems. <
